What is Icky?
Essays about difficult emotions and weird experiences. Whilst idiosyncratic and shy with genre, it is about: shame, and how to feel less of it; creativity, and how to do more of it; beauty, and how to better appreciate it; psychedelics, and how to best learn from them; masculinity, and how to soften it; parenting, and how to almost never resent it.
Who writes it?
Adam Fletcher - a recovering full-time author, now trying to build a life beyond books. His writing has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian and he's an occasionalist columnist for Die Zeit (in German). He has sold more than 350k books, not all of which were to his mother, he hopes.
If you want to help support his habit, check out his most recent book: Man of the Moment, a memoir about modern masculinity, sort of.
He lives in Berlin, Germany. He is bald and thanks you for your time.
Why subscribe?
Because if you don’t he’ll kill a puppy. The puppy will be called Hope.
